lotus pond road trip case

I was lucky enough to sew up a few cute little items in Rae‘s newest collection for Cloud 9 fabrics: Lotus Pond.  I had to stop myself from drooling when Rae first showed a few sneak peeks at the prints. These beauties are scheduled to arrive at quilt shops at the end of May.  I know my girls went crazy over them, trying to hoard every little scrap. So I’m almost sure I’ll find myself doing the same when they come out.

Anyway, this Road Trip Case was a fun way to show off a bunch of the prints.  Aren’t they so pretty together?  This case will be in the Cloud 9’s booth at Quilt Market coming up in a few weeks.

I have a couple other little projects that I made with the leftover scraps, too!  Can’t wait to show you them.

Oh, and I’ve been using my V and Co. Aurifil sampler pack in 28wt for topstitching when I want the stitches to really stand out.  I love it.
